Sperry Baseball Academy Welcomes Bobby Bundy

Bobby Bundy will be available as a trainer, instructor for hitting, pitching, nutrition and fitness. Bobby is currently a professional pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles farm system. He graduated Sperry HS in 2008, where he was a three sport athlete before dedicating to baseball his senior year.

In High School , he played Short Stop, Third base, and Pitcher where his teams won two State Championships and he received many awards for his play on the state and local level and was recognized nationally as the Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year in 2008. In 2007 He signed a Letter of Intent with the University of Arkansas to play third base and pitch.

Professionally, he was Drafted by the Orioles in 2008 where it didn’t take him long to start setting records he set his first record by receiving the highest signing compensation ever paid to an eight round pick. During 2011 while playing for the High A Fredrick Keys, Bobby was elected the Orioles Minor league pitcher to the Carolina League All Star Team. While at Frederick, he was named player of the month twice and Pitcher of the month twice, he tied the record for most complete games pitched in a single season and was within three strikeouts of being the all time strike out leader before being promoted to the Orioles AA Bowie affiliate, to finish his season.
